Discussing topics around seniors housing rights and aging in place in Ontario
On March 11, The Centre for Equality Rights in Accommodation (CERA) is hosting a free one-day forum for seniors to learn about their housing rights. This peer-facilitated day of learning is generously funded by Ministry for Seniors and Accessibility through the Government of Ontario. The day will be co-facilitated by CERA staff and five senior peer facilitators who are passionate about advocating for housing rights.

The forum will engage seniors who are tenants in a skills cafe model, covering topics including eviction prevention, aging in place, human rights in housing, accommodations for disability, and housing laws generally. In addition to the curriculum, this event will provide an opportunity for seniors interested in housing rights to connect with one another and to resources to support them in their housing. Refreshments will be provided. Lunch and light refreshments will be provided.

The venue is fully accessible, please advise if you require any accommodations.
