Rent in Social Housing If you live in social housing, most of the rules about rent do not apply to you. Generally, if your rent is geared-to-income, the amount that you pay is roughly 1/3 or 30% of your total income. The amount you pay for rent can change, depending on what your income is. If you have concerns about how your rent is calculated, call the Tenant Hotline at 416-921-9494.We are currently testing this online version of the Tenant Survival Manual: If you notice something that needs to be clarified; if you want more information on a particular subject; or if you simply would like to comment on the Tenant Survival Manual, please click here to send us an email. |
